Dear Band Families and Friends,
As we close out another fantastic term, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible progress and performances that have defined this season for our talented musicians. It's been an exciting term filled with new music, hard work, and some unforgettable performances!
🎶 Exciting Performances!
This term, our band had the privilege of showcasing their talents at a couple of performances that left audiences in awe. From our fireworks where we brought the festive spirit alive, to our Senior band performing at assembly, each performance highlighted the dedication and passion our students bring to the stage. A big round of applause to every band member for their hard work and commitment to delivering such stunning performances!
🎵 New Music!
One of the most exciting parts of this term was the introduction of new music. Our band has been working on a diverse range of pieces, including contemporary works, classic band repertoire, and some fun, high-energy pieces that really pushed our musicians' abilities.
Percussion Tutorial – Day Change in Term 4
Please note that the Percussion Tutorial will move from Tuesday to Thursday in Term 4. Students are asked to adjust their schedules accordingly.
🎤 Looking Ahead
As we look ahead to the next term, we’re excited to continue building on the momentum of this term’s success. We’ve got some thrilling performances lined up, including our end of term concert and Presentation Day where we’ll explore the magic of combining our talents!
Additionally, our Training band students will have the opportunity to perform at the Hornby North Music Festival, and we’re excited to see them represent our school on a larger stage!
Special Thanks
A huge thank you to our band director, staff, and volunteers for their continued support and dedication. None of this would be possible without the hard work behind the scenes. And of course, thank you to our wonderful students for their passion and enthusiasm—they are the heart and soul of our band program.
We also want to express our gratitude to all the parents and families for their unwavering support this term. Your encouragement means the world to our musicians.
